Infinity’s Representatives Managing Director Mr Chan Kong Yew and General Manager Mr James Kwan participated in a Specialised Marketing Mission on Logistics Services to Tanzania & Kenya organized by Matrade from the 11th to 20th March 2011.
This trade mission was lead by En Md Silmi Abd Rahman, the Director of MATRADE. The trade mission was also attended by well known corporate figure Dato’ Lee Hwa Beng as a business delegate representing Port Klang Authority.
Infinity participated in this trade mission with the aim to explore business opportunities with Tanzania & Kenya in the logistics services, to establish and strengthen the business contacts and network with local Freight Forwarders as well as to create greater awareness and visibility among the business community and the local public on Malaysia’s capabilities and expertise in providing world-class logistics services.
The major ports there are Port of Dar Es Salaam, TANZANIA and Port of Mombasa, Kenya. These two ports are Gateway to land-locked countries such as Malawi, Zambia, DR Congo, Rwanda, DR Congo, Rwanda, Burundi and Uganda through road and rail. An Infinity 40′ container was also spotted on sight at the port of Mombasa.
During their time there, the representatives from Infinity attended seminars and conducted B2B meetings at both Tanzania and Kenya. They were also privileged to be able to pay a visit to the Kenya Port Authority.
