Infinity’s Representatives from its NVOCC business unit, Ms Kwan Siew Mun and Ms Tan Yee Wen, participated in a Specialised Marketing Mission on Consumer Products & Services to Yangon, Union of Myanmar organized by Matrade from the 28 to 30 March 2011.
This trade mission was led by En Jai Shankar, MATRADE Bangkok & En Mohd Feisal Ezuan, MATRADE Kuala Lumpur.
Infinity participated in this trade mission with the aim to explore business opportunities for collaboration between Malaysia and the Union of Myanmar, to create a greater awareness and visibility on Malaysia’s capabilities and expertise in providing Malaysian made products & services to Myanmar. This trade mission also aim to establish useful business contacts and network with UMFCCI (Union of Myanmar Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and MMA (Malaysia Myanmar Association) in Myanmar as well as to create new business network between Malaysia and the Union of Myanmar in particular Yangon, Naypyidaw, and Mandalay.
The representatives were privileged to be able to pay a visit Diethelm & Co Ltd (DKSH) and Myanmar Distribution Group Co Ltd (MDG) for on-site briefing on their business operations.
They also attended the business matching session involving Malaysian exporter and potential Myanmar Importer/buyer/distributors that was held at UMFCCI office.
During their visit, the representatives from Infinity also visited 3 port terminals in Yangon namely Asia World Port Terminal (AWPT), Myanmar International Terminals Thilawa (MITT) and Botataung Street Warf (BSW).
